We know privacy policies are usually boring and robotic. But this one’s written by me-yes, a real human-so I’ll keep it simple, honest, and (hopefully) easy to read.
This page explains how we handle any little bits of info you share with us while you are here.
Who’s Behind SmartGullak?
SmartGullak is a blog I created to help people manage and save money, especially when income is tight. Everything here is made with that goal in mind.

What Info We Collect (and Don’t)
So, here’s the deal: we don’t collect anything weird or creepy.
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll get your email address.
- If you comment, we’ll see whatever name/email you write in.
- If you send us a message, we’ll get whatever you say – and your contact info.
That’s it. Nothing more.
Now, like most blogs, we use tools like Google Analytics. They keep track of general stuff like:
- Which pages do people read
- How long do they stay
- Which device/browser are they using
- Where visitors are coming from (like Google or Instagram)
None of this is personal. It’s just numbers to help us understand what’s working.
Cookies (Not the Edible Kind)
Yes, SmartGullak uses cookies – little digital bits that help the site remember stuff, work better, and show relevant ads. Cookies are super common and harmless.
Most of the cookie stuff happens because we use:
- Google AdSense (for showing ads)
- Google Analytics (to track traffic)
AdSense may use cookies to show ads that are somewhat related to your interests, based on your browsing habits.
If you are not into that, you can always block cookies in your browser settings. Up to you.

We Don’t Sell Your Info. Period.
Just to be super clear:
We do not and will not ever sell, rent, or trade your info.
It stays with us, or in the tools we use (like Mailchimp or Google), and that’s it.
We respect your privacy because we’d want the same.
Your Rights (Yep, You Have Them)
Here’s what you are allowed to do:
- Unsubscribe from our emails anytime (there is a link at the bottom of each one)
- Ask us to delete any comment or email you have sent
- Ask what info we have on you (usually just your email)

Links to Other Sites
Sometimes we link to tools, articles, or government websites. Once you click away from SmartGullak, their privacy rules apply, not ours. We try to link to good stuff, but still – use your judgment, as always.
Not for Kids
This blog is not made for kids under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.
If you are a parent and your kid submitted something, let us know, and we’ll delete it.
We Might Update This Page
If things change – new tools, new laws, or just better ways to explain things – we’ll update this policy. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top.
We recommend checking this page once in a while if you are into that kind of thing. If not, no worries – we’ll never sneak in anything shady.
